Lichfield Archer Alyssia Tromans-Ansell's trip to Argentina has proved wildly successful, with her securing a place for Britain at next year's Youth Olympics before going on to win a gold!
Full story is available on the Archery GB Website so head over there to get all of the details!
Needless to say, all at Lichfield Archers are immensely proud of Alyssia's acheivement. Well done to her, and to all of those who have helped her in her efforts!
Well, two Lichfield Archers managed to get themselves on the TV news - and not for the reason you might expect! [insert joke about crimewatch / relentless self publicity here]
Fiona and Frank took part in the annual "Ride to the Wall" annual charity fundraiser, which has raised over £600,000 over the last 10 years for the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas.

John Whitehouse has kindly offered to put on a special evening of videos by the great Jay Barrs, 1988 Olympic Gold Medalist.
Jay worked for both Easton and Hoyt, and is considered to be the authority on bow setup, tuning and style. The videos that John has for us are almost impossible to obtain now, and still hold much of relevance for the archer looking to get the best from their equipment.
The show will be held in the clubhouse on Tuesday 24th October at 7pm - all are welcome!
The rain stayed away (for a change) and brought out twelve plucky archers to try their hand at the novelty field shoot this Sunday.
All targets were animals (not real ones - just pictures!) and were placed at unmarked distances - except for the toughest one of all... the cabbage!
All the archers went around the course twice, scoring between 1 and 3 points for a hit on their target face. The cabbage scored 3 points for a hit, 5 if the arrow stuck in!
Winners, taking home their delicious prizes (gold medals made of chocolate were:
Megan Kedge - Over 12's Girls
Issy - Under 12's Girls
Jack Bevan - Boys
Brian Shorthouse - Compound (Score 65)
Katherine Archer - Ladies Recurve (Score 32)
Steve Archer - Mens Recurve (Score 63)
Fiona Parker - Ladies Longbow (Score 13)
Alan Broadley - Mens Longbow (Score 32)
A great afternoon's shooting, and thanks to Frank and the team for putting it on!
