Lichfield Archers played host to a contingent of Cub Scouts from The 11th Sutton Coldfield St. Jame's Hill pack today.
With ages ranging from 8 years up to 10 years old, the twenty Cub Scouts (19 boys and one girl) were ably coached through a beginners' session by Development Officer, Paul. Plenty of club members turned out to help coach on the line, so thanks must also go to Frank (both of them), William, Steve, John, Fiona (those biscuits went down well!) and Quentin for the assistance.
Rob Poole, Cub Scout Leader stepped up to have a go himself and was rewarded with and impressive three gold end on his first ever go! David Stokes, one of the other leaders overseeing the group commented that when they had been on camp in the past they'd had some archery tuition, but not as good as they got in our range!
The Cub Scouts themselves had a great time and made sure everyone was thanked - the range was so much quieter after they left!
All in all, a great night - and we hope to do it again some time!
